On a plane. In a car.
On the couch. And in bed.
I can even read while walking.
But my favorite, absolute favorite place to bury myself in a book is when I can hear the waves hitting the shore and my feet are covered in sand...

The beach is also my favorite place to read, followed by a lounge chair next to the pool.
I agree with you E. I love reading at the beach or at the Lake or even at the pool while getting a good tan--i really need to do that again some day--haven't done so in years!

I love to read in the sun only in theory. In real life, my eyes almost always can't stand the brightness (yes, I'm familiar with hats and sunglasses and do use them but water and sand are notoriously reflective). I can do it only for a limited time. So, I guess my favorite place to read is in bed. So cozy.
On a side note, my book club has finally officially begun. Our first choice is a biography - Ponzi's Scheme. Hope our club is as successful as yours.
Aruba, Jamaica, ooo i want to take you to Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama, Key Largo, Montego, Baby why don't we go down to Kokomo... Or Antigua... One thing I DID get to do lots of while living in the Caribbean was read on the beach. And though it's not QUITE as fun when you don't have an air-conditioned, all-inclusive hotel room waiting for you, it is STILL my absolute favorite place to read. For now, though, I guess my backyard lounge chair will have to do. I'll have Shae turn on the water hose...
My favorite place to read is on my couch when all the kids are in quiet time or taking a nap. Maybe that's because that is the only place I ever read anymore. If I had more experience reading other places right now, I might have a different opinion. I do love my couch though. And my cup of tea.
